Consulations

At River Grove Therapy, our work extends beyond the therapy room. We offer consultation, collaboration, and educational opportunities for parents, caregivers, professionals, schools, and organizations seeking thoughtful, practical support around the emotional and developmental needs of children, adolescents, and families.

Whether you are looking for guidance around a specific concern, professional collaboration, or a speaker for your organization, our team brings a relational, trauma-informed, and individualized approach to every conversation.

Parent Consultation

Sometimes parents need a space of their own to think through what is happening with their child and determine what support may be most helpful.

Parent consultation provides caregivers with an opportunity to meet with a therapist for guidance, education, and practical strategies without necessarily beginning ongoing individual therapy. Consultations may focus on concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, challenging behaviors, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, family transitions, school difficulties, or strengthening the parent-child relationship.

A consultation may be a single meeting focused on a particular concern or a series of meetings providing continued parent support. When additional services would be beneficial, we can also help families think through appropriate next steps and resources.

Professional Consultation

We believe children and families are best supported when the professionals around them have opportunities to collaborate, reflect, and learn from one another.

River Grove Therapy offers consultation for therapists, educators, school professionals, and other providers working with children, adolescents, and families. Professional consultation can provide a space to explore complex cases, strengthen clinical approaches, discuss trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate interventions, and consider ways to better support children across home, school, and community environments.

Consultation can be arranged as a one-time meeting or on an ongoing basis depending on the needs of the professional or organization.

Speaking Engagements

River Grove Therapy clinicians are available for speaking engagements, workshops, trainings, and community education.

Presentations can be tailored to the needs of schools, parent groups, professional organizations, community programs, and other audiences. Topics may include childhood and adolescent mental health, trauma and resilience, parenting, anxiety, grief and loss, neurodiversity, play and expressive approaches, emotional regulation, and other areas represented within our team's expertise.

We welcome opportunities to create engaging, accessible conversations that translate mental health knowledge into information people can use in their everyday work and relationships.
