The team at River Grove Therapy is so excited to welcome aboard Katie Volante! Katie joined our team in mid-June. Katie is a graduate of VCUs Master of Social Work program. Katie is excited to work with adolescents, teens, and adults struggling with issues of depression, anxiety, grief & loss, trauma, identity, and more.
She has training and experience working with a diverse population of teens & adults, the LGBTQIA+ population, individuals who would like to explore their sexual/gender identity, neurodivergent individuals, substance abuse, anxiety and depression.
She’s off and running with continued intensive learning and ongoing training in best practices in trauma treatment with Bessel Van Der Kolk, child-directed play therapy with Rise van Fleet, and training in Autism with Jennifer Glacel. Her humor, humility, and intense drive for curiosity and learning make her a perfect fit for the team here at River Grove. We feel lucky to have her- and know that any client she serves will feel the same!
